Why I have not been around ....(3-30)

Hi Stitchers!
I lost my mom last week.  We moved her back to her house here in Georgia from Boone, N.C.
She was in the stages of Alzheimer...but a rapid decline in her weight and a fall, were no help.  She was, always, small in a 5'6" frame with tiny wrists and fingers...I doubt she even weighed 80 pounds the last month.  It was devastating for all 5 of us and each dealt in their own way.
God took her at 3:15pm, one small breath, and she was gone to the Lord.  Last rights were done the night before.
No matter how prepared that you think you are, when it happens, all emotions are thrust inside you.
Be sure and hug and tell those that you love how much that you meant to them, today could be your last day....
Here is my mom on her last cruise to Alaska last spring:  Yes.....I am blessed with her skin for youth!  She was 75..

Hugs!
Tonia

I'm so sorry. My mother always said that no matter how old we are, we still need our mother, and I know how true it is. Thankfully, it sounds like you have happy memories - hang on to them!
